Honeywell Electrode
Honeywell Electrode 7774pH ORP The electrode insertion removal device has good quality.
First, the pH electrode must immersed in the process solution at least 5.08 cm (2 in.) .
And allow for insertion depth from the outside wall of the mounting surface as indicate thedimensions in Figure 3-1. If vertical insertion (from above) is used, assure that the tank or pipeline is full under all process conditions.
If a pipeline is not always full, use a vertical mounting and insert the electrode far enough into the pipe. The electrode tip is at least 10.6 cm (4 in.) below the horizontal exit pipe which may empty out. Toassure a good reading, assure that air space will not interfere at the point of measurement.
Second, suspended solids The electrode can mount in any position. And it recommend that the removal device mount suchthat the electrode point downstream in the direction of flow when suspende solids may be present.
If the electrode must be mount pointing upstream, against the direction of flow, the tip may becomeclogged. In applications where vertical mounting required, avoid a position with the electrode pointed up as thiswill permit clogging by solids settling in the tip area.
Then, rquirement for circulation of solution around electrode Allow at least 12.7mm (1/2 in.) clearance beyond the end of the electrode and 3.2 mm (1/8 in.) to4.8 mm (3/16 in.) radius clearance surrounding the electrode to permit circulation of the solution.
